Umbrella Initiative Covers Optional Player Programs
AYSO FLEX™ is the umbrella initiative for optional player opportunities that enable AYSO Regions, Areas and Sections to choose player programs that best serve their local needs.
Programs under the FLEX™ umbrella include opportunities for different competitive levels, ages and abilities. FLEX programs currently include EXTRA™, for players that want a more challenging soccer environment; VIP, for players with disabilities; U-5, a pressure-free opportunity for four year olds and the Special U-16/U-19 Program for our teenagers.
Additional optional programs in the exploratory stages include a high level player development opportunity for our most motivated players and a "parent and me" type program for our youngest ones.
All AYSO FLEX™ programs embrace the Six Philosophies of AYSO, including Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.

AYSO’s Special U-16/U-19 Program gives flexibility to include more games and less practice plus options for informal, co-ed and neighborhood teams. It’s designed to adapt to local needs.

and adults whose physical or mental disabilities
make it difficult to successfully participate

AYSO introduces four-year-olds to
soccer in a brief, pressure-free environment by
playing simple, fun activities and games. |
